These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Inventive Minds Academy website and related childcare, educational, and family support services. By accessing our website or enrolling your child in our programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.
1. Overview of Services
Inventive Minds Child, Youth and Family Support Centre ("Inventive Minds Academy") is a not-for-profit organization licensed under the Ontario Ministry of Education, providing licensed childcare, private elementary school education, home childcare, and family support services to children and families across the Greater Toronto Area.
2. Eligibility
To enroll a child in our programs or engage our services, you must be at least 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, and a parent or legal guardian of the child being enrolled. By using our website or submitting an enrollment form, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Account Registration
Certain features of our platform, including blog access and event registration, may require account creation. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Nature of Services
Inventive Minds Academy provides licensed childcare and educational services regulated under the Childcare and Early Years Act (CCEYA). Our educators are Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators, or members of the Ontario College of Teachers. Our services do not constitute medical, therapeutic, or legal advice. Families are encouraged to seek independent professional guidance for medical or legal matters relating to their child.
Enrollment in our programs is subject to availability and the completion of our admissions process, including a pre-enrollment meeting and the submission of required documentation.
5. Parental Responsibilities
By enrolling your child, you agree to provide accurate and complete information regarding your child's health, allergies, medical conditions, and developmental needs. You agree to keep this information current and to notify us promptly of any changes. Failure to disclose relevant medical or safety information may affect our ability to provide appropriate care for your child.
You agree to adhere to our attendance, pickup, and communication policies as outlined during the enrollment process and as updated from time to time.
6. Fees and Payments
Program fees are communicated at the time of enrollment and are payable according to the schedule agreed upon at intake. Families eligible for Ontario government childcare subsidy are responsible for ensuring their subsidy application is current and accurate. Any shortfall between the subsidy amount and the program fee remains the responsibility of the enrolled family.
Cancellations and withdrawals must be made in accordance with the notice period specified in your enrollment agreement. Inventive Minds Academy reserves the right to adjust its fee schedule with reasonable advance notice to enrolled families.
7. Health and Safety
We are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all children in our care. Children who are unwell must remain at home in accordance with our illness policy. We reserve the right to request that a child be picked up early if they become unwell during the program day. In the event of a medical emergency, we will contact the child's emergency contacts and, where necessary, emergency services.
8. Website Use and Conduct
You agree to use our website for lawful purposes only. You may not:
- Use the website to impersonate another person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the functionality of the website
- Upload or share harmful, illegal, or offensive content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract content from the website
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this website including text, graphics, logos, curriculum materials, and code is the property of Inventive Minds Academy or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without prior written consent. Blog content published by registered contributors remains the intellectual property of the respective authors.
10. Third-Party Services
Our website may include links to third-party resources including accreditation bodies, government agencies, and partner organizations. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of third-party websites. Use of any third-party service is at your own discretion and risk.
11. Limitation of Liability
Inventive Minds Academy provides its website and online resources "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for damages arising from reliance on website content or service interruptions. Our liability in connection with any claim arising from the delivery of childcare or educational services is limited to the fees paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Inventive Minds Academy, its educators, and staff harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our website or services, or your violation of these Terms, including any failure to disclose relevant medical or safety information about your child.
13. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. Updates will be posted to this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada, including the Childcare and Early Years Act (CCEYA). Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
